What maintenance services does TruFixed offer?

We can arrange a maintenance pro for almost any home need – from kitchen remodels to electrical repair. We are happy to help arrange pros for both ad hoc jobs and recurring services (e.g. house cleaning or landscaping). We work with best-in-class plumbers, electricians, contractors, landscapers, and general handymen who are eager to help.

What if I like my own vendors?

No problem! We are happy to work with them – we are here to serve you in whichever way you deem best. If you’d like to keep using your own pros, we can coordinate with them instead of our own.

What is the free home audit and how does it work?

Similar to a home inspection the home audit identifies any maintenance issues and details the costs associated with rectifying them. Post-audit we’d love to help arrange the rights pros to handle these issues as well as design an ongoing smart maintenance program to prevent future issues, but if you decide to work with someone else that’s ok too. There is no obligation for signing up for the free audit.

Why do you charge a monthly subscription?

We think you’ll find our subscription to be a bargain due not only to our premium customer service but the pre-negotiated rates across our pre-screened vendor network. As any homeowner knows, quotes can vary wildly – our pre-negotiated rates provide peace of mind and save you money.

Why choose TruFixed over a traditional home warranty plan?

TruFixed’s customer service centric approach applies to its warranties as well. We aim to simplify the home warranty without sacrificing quality. In fact, we think we deliver superior quality – traditional home warranty companies default to the lowest bidder – TruFixed delivers high-quality maintenance pros at pre-negotiated rates. Not to mention the ancillary benefits of signing up for a TruFixed home warranty plan – such as the personal home manager, home maintenance walk through and Health Home Record. Traditional home warranty companies offer none of this.

When does my warranty become active?

Your warranty activates 30 days after you submit payment for your first month of TruFixed membership.

What if an appliance or system or broken beyond repair?

If your covered appliance or system can't be repaired, TruFixed will provide a replacement of like kind and quality or provide credit toward a new item.

How does the copay work?

Your copay is charged to your card on file just prior to your appointment. The copay amount is the same regardless of how much time a pro spends at your house.

Is there a cap on the number of breakdown incidents I can claim?

There is no cap on the number of breakdown incidents you can claim, but all claims are subject to coverage limits.

Are coverage limits aggregated or per category?

Appliance and home system coverage limits are applied per category and are aggregated over the course of any 12-month period for “Take a Break” and “Make Yourself at Home” plans. All claims are subject to a $10,000 and $12,000 aggregate limit, respectively during any 12-month period.

Can I repair or replace an item before contacting TruFixed?

Why would I want a TruFixed warranty plan?

On average, homeowners spend between 1-4% of the home’s value on maintenance annually. These expenses are both unpredictable and volatile. TruFixed’s warranty plans, which cover a range of major appliances and home systems, help to smooth these expenses. As with any of its services, TruFixed delivers its warranty services with a premium approach to customer service.

How do I submit a job request?

You can submit via desktop or mobile and www.trufixed.com or call us at (973) 440-8726. When submitting online, provide as many details as you have time for – your personal home manager will reach out to fill in the rest.

Do you offer 24/7 support

You can submit a job request at any time at www.trufixed.com, rest assured you will receive a timely response. In case of an emergency, members should call (973) 440-8726.

How long will it take a pro to visit my home once I submit a job request?

For routine repairs a pro should be able to visit your home within a few business days. Repair services are available Monday through Friday during regular business hours, except holidays. Weekend or holiday service may be available in special circumstances.

What if I’m dissatisfied with a job?

We don’t charge your account until you confirm that you’re happy with the service.

How are the maintenance pros screened?

We start by selecting pros that have consistently fantastic references among local homeowners. Next, we interview the pros to ensure they are comfortable with our protocols and standards of professional behavior. Thirdly, we ask that they provide proof of insurance and license. Lastly, we ensure that a background check is conducted to make sure we didn’t miss any red flags. Our homeowners then rate the pros to ensure high-quality service going forward.

What if I like my own vendors?

No problem! We are happy to work with them – we are here to serve you in whichever way you deem best. If you’d like to keep using your own pros, we can coordinate with them instead of our own.

How are you able to pre-negotiate rates?

Each individual homeowner benefits from the bundling of pricing – by delivering multiple new customers to vendors we are able to realize discounts in the pricing of their services.
